  1. Group: Erika, Brenda, Spencer

    1. 6 out of 9 students said they were addicted to something.
    2. Students said they were addicted to caffeine, coffee, cigarettes, the internet, and one student said life.
    3. Only 1 of these students mentioned more than one addiction.
    4. 8 out of 9 students agreed that the internet was addictive.
    5. Some of the reasons for students believing the internet was addictive were that it was time-consuming, people have little self control and can't stop using it every five minutes, people use it as a stress reliever from homework and other assignments, and that people have become too dependent on it to be able to stop.
    6. 2 out of 9 students said all addictions were bad but neither could explain why. They said that by definition, addictions didn't seem like a good habit.
    7. 7 out of 9 students said not all addictions were bad. They used the internet as an example and some mentioned exercise and learning as well.
    8. The average percentages given for students addicted on campus were between the 80%-85% range. The percentage for general addiction was much more skewed, the lowest being 20% and the highest being 100%

4.One person said they were addicted to the internet, although I think the 3 people who are addicted to facebook are in some way addicted to the internet.

5.People said the internet could be addicting for the following reasons: meeting a lot of people in virtual worlds instead of real-life, some people can experience an emotional low if they do not have the internet, one person mentioned that he spends a lot of time playing online games, lack of internet can make one feel cut-off from the rest of the world, and because nowadays its part of a routine.

6.Five subjects said that addictions are bad because they consume individuals' lives and interfere with other aspects, such as schooling. One of those five subjects also said that an addict can feel like they need whatever they are addicted to to live.

7.The rest of the four subjects said that not all addictions are bad, but it depends on the severity of the addiction and if it interferes with the rest of one's life. Two of these subjects that said all addictions are not bad, and mentioned that exercise is a good addiction because that health is a good quality to have, and other said that the perseverance he has developed from playing baseball spills onto other parts of his life. The other two subjects did not provide examples.

8.The average percentage from the subjects' answers are 75 to 80 percent, with one subject saying that 100% of people on campus is addicted to something.
